Material Decisions Start With the Finished Use

The garment, wearer, care route and buyer standard determine which fabric parameters matter. The product name alone does not define a workable solution.

Movement and Comfort

Leggings, yoga tops and training garments require stretch without losing shape through repeated movement. Opacity, surface comfort and moisture handling must be assessed on the intended garment, not from a relaxed fabric swatch alone.

Material Direction

  • Nylon-spandex or polyester-spandex constructions selected around recovery, hand feel and target price.
  • GSM and usable width confirmed for leggings, tops, fitted layers or lightweight training pieces.
  • Matte, brushed, printed or moisture-management finishes matched to skin contact and care requirements.

Key Performance

Four-way stretch, recovery, pilling resistance, colorfastness, dimensional stability, moisture management and opacity under stretch should be prioritized according to the buyer standard.

Approval Standard

  • Assess stretch direction, recovery, touch and opacity on conditioned sample yardage.
  • Record the approved GSM, usable width, shade, surface and relevant test methods.
  • Retain the accepted sample as the physical reference for bulk inspection.
