Material Decisions Start With the Finished Use

The garment, wearer, care route and buyer standard determine which fabric parameters matter. The product name alone does not define a workable solution.

Designed to Work with the Shell

A lining influences comfort, movement and the way an outer garment hangs. Weight, surface friction, static tendency, opacity and pressing behavior must be checked alongside the actual shell fabric.

Material Direction

  • Polyester, rayon-blend, acetate-direction or stretch lining selected by garment and care route.
  • Plain, twill or jacquard construction matched to drape, durability and surface needs.
  • Color, print or logo direction coordinated with the garment interior and shell shade.

Key Performance

Smoothness, seam behavior, dimensional stability, colorfastness and compatibility with pressing and laundering are the practical priorities.

Approval Standard

  • Test the proposed lining together with the shell fabric.
  • Review seam slippage, drape, static behavior and care compatibility.
  • Approve shade, surface and usable width before bulk.
