Material Decisions Start With the Finished Use

The garment, wearer, care route and buyer standard determine which fabric parameters matter. The product name alone does not define a workable solution.

Comfort for Repeated Use

School uniforms must remain presentable through frequent wear and laundering. Shirts, skirts, trousers and sports-uniform pieces have different performance needs and should be specified separately.

Material Direction

  • Polyester-cotton, cotton or stretch constructions selected by garment type and care route.
  • GSM, structure and breathability balanced for classroom, outdoor and sports use.
  • Solid, check or stripe designs developed with repeat dimensions and continuing shade standards.

Key Performance

Abrasion, pilling, colorfastness, dimensional stability, easy care and wearer comfort should reflect the actual use and laundering program.

Approval Standard

  • Approve a physical shade standard for initial and repeat orders.
  • Review sewing, pressing and care compatibility with the garment team.
  • Set measurable checkpoints for width, GSM, appearance and packing.
